Users are not allowed to enter a private forum..

I created a forum and made it private on my trial Power account. Now when i invite people to test the forum, they are able to get the invite & create their accounts, but are blocked from access to the forum since i have marked it private.
Is the meaning of private forum --> Allow users whose email i have specified access to the forum? if i make a forum public, any user who knows the URL will be able to see all the postings which is not desirable.

Pls help me resolve this.

If you create a forum, make it private and add admins. That only admins can see it until you invite your users. If I understand correctly, you want it? Just do not invite users in this forum.

>> Will all users of the domian say @ibm.com get an invite email ?
No, invitation is not sent, because We do not know all the addresses in that domain.

My scenario is - i will invite bunch of users for discussion and say a month later, i will remove them and will keep these discussions accessible to all us admins forever to refer to. So 'users' are temporary, they come and go when i need. Anyway i can manage this by removing users manually. Thanks Vladimir.
