Provide option to withhold JIRA comments from the User Echo thread

Is there a way to NOT synchronize all the JIRA comments with the UE thread? I do not want all our users seeing every comment taking place as we discuss and track development.

How would you rate the customer service you received?

Thanks for the response, Vladimir. Unfortunately that isn't a very helpful option for us. Our developers are the ones who need to be able to comment in the threads, and they are not administrators. We cannot restrict the Jira comments to just administrators. Is there another option? This makes it very difficult to comment in Jira because everything exposed to the User Echo user who reported the issue.

Hello Hall,

We have one option, but I think it depends on JIRA settings.

If you comment has an attribute "visibility" and this attribute has a value "Administrators", this comment will be for a staff agents only in UserEcho.

So, if comment is private in JIRA it is private in UserEcho too.

If you know how we can do another solution for this problem feel free to post an Idea for us!

Thank you.

Hello Hall,

At current time we add to the forum all comments that posted through JIRA webhook to UserEcho.

If you know any solution for your problem feel free to advice it here. What do you think we have to check to decide to post comment or not?

It could be any universal solution for all projects.

Thank you Vladimir. If I make a comment in JIRA, and the comment syncs to User Echo, I can enter UE and change the visibility to "Administrators." I understand this.

But when the comment is synced from JIRA to UE, doesn't the original UE user notified via email? The content of the JIRA comment is emailed to the UE original poster even if I hide the commen later in UE.

Yes, he will receive notification, because we send notification when we add the comment.

If you comment marked in JIRA as a privaten, then it immediatelly market in UE as a private to. But, as you wrote before, it doesnt' work for you.
