We have multiple brands and websites, can we have one account and seperate all of these displaying seperately on each website, so users of project a cannot see topics etc from users/posts in project b etc.

As admin you can have one account that can manage many brands/websites/etc.
Each project can have it's own set of settings,custom-css, etc.
Just create two projects and check, we have 15-days free trial and even free service plan.
