We are building a site with a strong community, and often there will be community members able to answer questions better than our support agents.
Is it possible for a user to select a comment or response to a question and mark it as "the answer"? This would give a really nice community aspect if it were possible.

Do you have any idea about how you'd like to proceed with it? Do you have plans anytime soon to implement it? At least letting a user select a post as the answer when the thread is a question like FreshDesk does would be very useful.

We do think about this idea, but still fdo not have a good solution.
So, what is the mark from a user as an answer?
1. Marks by author only. It does work if it's marked by author of topic only. Still have a question: Can be more then one answer? What if support agent marks another answer?
2. Marks by everybody. If it's going to be marked by everybody we will have all comments as an answers :) So, here is the only solution to vote for comment as an answer. But, we already have votes for comments. Seems like too much votes.

From my point of view :
1. Only one answer. Agent acts as moderator and can change the answer if necessary.
2. I agree that since there are votes on comments already, it could be confusing.
