We are thinking of starting to use the Knowledge Base tool. Right now we use vanilla forums and one of the features that is critical for our purposes is to have a log of all changes to knowledge base articles. Does this feature exist?

Hello Ehsan,

Can you explain, details about this feature.

1) How you plan to use such feature?
2) Who can be able to see changes?
3) How it should look, for example (list of previous article versions, which contain versions of article corresponding for each Save action.

We already have Action log feature, it contain log in the following format (User, Action - article edit for example, Date)
It's available at the internal level, now.

Sergey, sorry I missed your response before. As always, thank you for the quick response.

We definitely plan on using Userecho's community function for the foreseeable future (aka multiple years). However, as much as we like Userecho, we are much more skeptical about using your Knowledge Base tools (even though we want to).

I will run this information past the team and get back to you.

So, we have included this feature in our Roadmap (Section must have)

At this moment you have 2 options:
1) This feature will be available within 6 months. If you confirm that you will still using UserEcho.
2) We can increase priority and assign our developers to implement this feature. So it will be available within two weeks, or even faster. It will cost 1000 USD one time fixed payment.

Surely Surgey,

First of all, we have been very happy with the feedback forum functionality! Thus, we are hoping to take further advantage of UserEcho.

We would need this functionality for Admins only. Showing to all users is optional. If this functionality currently exists with UserEcho, I cannot find it. I could not find the "Action Log" feature you mentioned.

Use Case
1) We outline internal policies for our call center currently using Vanilla Forums (we would like to use userecho for this)
2) Employees are required to follow these policies and they are scored against the policies
3) These policies constantly change
4) Occasionally, we must be able to check the older versions of the policy (aka see the exact content of an older version of an article with date stamps) to see if an action performed at a prior date was in-line with the policy at that point in time

Must have
- Author of the article
- A way for admins to review prior versions of articles
- Who modified the article with a date stamp

Nice to have
- A clear indication of what was changed (aka like Microsoft Word Track Changes)
