embed iframe in knowledge base

I use another web app to write out my documentation and the pages are hosted online. I would like to embed these pages using iFrame in the UserEcho Knowledge base. Is there a way to do this?

How would you rate the customer service you received?

Hello Robert, we allow iframe in the KB topics but with restricted "src" attribute. For additional security. But for your case we can setup exception for your account. Give us link to one of the topics and your account alias. And we setup exception. So you will able to embed external pages.

OK.

If I will be using iFrame the search function can not search inside iFrame, right? I can only search the knowledge base if I'm using the default UserEcho editor, right?

yes

So when you will ready, let us know and we will together try to find a solution. To get remote HTML from your site via javascript we will need that you set specific Headers to allow CORS requests.

1) No API

2) Sounds like a good idea.

I am interested but simply not ready. My site is still in production mode and it will be a couple of weeks before I'm ready to launch, at that point I will need to setup UE and will contact you back. Wish I was ready now but don't think it's a good idea at this stage. Looking forward to using UE :)

1) Your topics are available through the API?

2) One of the idea is to setup custom field (into KB topic) on the UE side. This field will be contain URL to corresponding topic and add custom JS that will load content into DIV instead IFRAME

If you really interested in UE usage we will try to prepare working example.

Actually there is one more related question. From what I understand it can be tricky and dificult to setup an iFrame height to be 100%. Do you have any recomendations on how to do that?
