Search description area does not disapear

I have had previously text inside the search widget for the "search description area". I no longer want to use the "search description area" but for some reason simply removing the text from it doesn't remove the yellow background. Almost as if the search description was keeping some weird spaces preventing this area to being hidden or removed.

I'm getting the same issue. I don't see any tags and I don't know what fields you're referring to. Help!

Right, I understand now. You mean there are some residual HTML tags that are hidden.

To access the HTML view, you must click on the "</>" button on the far right on the 'Search description' field's editor toolbar. Once activated you will see some HTML tags in the editor pane. Select all of those and delete them. Save, and then the search description will be gone.


This is a usability issue and should be tracked!

As Sergey mentioned, this will be fixed with the next editor update. I used to have this issue, but I just deleted and re-added the search module for a quick solution. I know UserEcho, and I know they'll fix it on the next update, they're really good at giving you the perfect system, bug-free.
