Would be beneficial allowing users to provide user profile information (similar to FB) so that a user's comments could be properly weighted or judged. For example, on legal questions or ideas, comments by a lawyer would be more meaningful than comments by a non-lawyer.

We can add common fields to user profile.But how to verify that the information is credible?
True, but at least honest people would get the recognition they have earned and for private forums this would allow people to promote themselves. For public forums perhaps use FaceBook logins?

It's possible, to sign-in using Facebook login at this moment. Perhaps we need to add BIO text field at user profile.
That would be a good start.
