It looks like when I try to search an answer to a question, the comment body is not searchable. Is there anyway to include posts that have a comment with an overlapping term from the search query?

We can enable this feature for your project but in the search result you will see the feedback only (no comment's body). Is it OK for you?
Why do you think that the search in a comment is so important? Usually in the comments may be information in fact unrelated to the feedback's subject.

We are exploring using user echo as an internal Q&A forum within our organizations that answers technical questions for our operations team. With answers to some questions there are comments that are in essence follow up questions. For this reason, I would like these conversations and back and forth included in the search results so that people can find the questions and answers even though it's not made explicit in the original question.
That'd be awesome if you could enable that for our individual forum (18001-ops-forum), let me know if I need to share something with you. I can also provide a specific example of the scenario if you think it would be helpful.

Could this "Search in the comments" possibility become an option that the we could enable as admin for the search widget?
By the way, this make me think that this could also be interesting for the visitors to select if they want their current search query to address:
