Is it possible to validate a custom field's format?
In my case, I would like to validate that a string field is a version number, I.E. MAJOR.MINOR.RELEASE.BUILD

We do not have the custom field validator but we beleive we have a similar ideas from another users. And we think it's actually could be helpful in most cases.
