Limit default display / browse size of Embedded Images

I love that it is easy to embed detailed large images in a Topic or Reply with a simple paste or upload...


Unfortunately, images default to displaying at full uploaded size (or some very large amount, regardless), unless the poster manually edits the image properties.


This wastes a lot of screen space, especially in a detailed List View where the entire contents of a Topic and Answers are shown.


Since image detail can be seen by clicking for a pop-up zoom view, can we please have an preference config setting for maximum height and width (automatically proportional) for embedded images?

Great solution, thanks. I have also set max-height:..., since that impacts the length of the total length of the detailed Topic list, but, of course, it causes some images to lose their proportions in preview... but that's OK.

Here is no problem to add some custom CSS to your project and you will have a limited image width.
