how to I increase upload file size?
at the moment it is set to 512 kB, which close to nothing.

At current time it is set to 512KB for images (upload image button) and 20MB for files (upload files button).
How much do you want to change this size and why?
Ok thanks, then I know. I thought the limit was for all files. That sounds more reasonable.
